Just a little info on who I am, what I do, and why supporting me might help the world just a little.

  • I am a farm boy from upstate NY, currently living in the bay area, that has worked diligently to make a difference in the world through tech.

  • Currently, I am working on solving problems that others might not think are possible to fix, like blindness, or mesh network data collection for areas that have lost internet and communication due to natural disasters.

  • With every project, I work on, I try to open source as many of the tools I create that could be useful and time saving for others. I currently have over 200 million users of my modules and maintaining these modules while free for others does take my time, and time from those that help me. This costs money, but it supports developers around the globe. Your support will help make this easier, and faster. Allowing me to better support my userbase and ensure long-lasting great tools and modules you and they can all rely on for the long term.

@RIAEvangelist

The peacenotwar module led to a LOT of mixed feelings and inaccurate news. I truly appreciated all of the letters and messages of thanks and support for sharing a message of peace, love, and forgiveness. I like to set achievable goals and work from there to target bigger and better goals that may be harder and harder to achieve. I like to work this way because it helps prevent burnout and keeps me motivated to work hard at meeting newer bigger goals. I also find setting goals like this to allow me to be more flexible and adjust how and what I am working on to find the best path to help out my users and make a difference in the world.

This tier is a great way to show your support of my work without having to invest too much. This Tier would help me with a quarter cup of coffee, a granola bar, or even a couple of minutes of crunching on a Digital Ocean Server.

All of these things are tremendously helpful, and the support that you show helps motivate me to keep working hard every day.

$5 a month

Select

This tier is designed for those who want to show their support, and help me keep making a difference in the world through tech. It is a small investment of $5 a month that can help me get a coffee, charge my electric motorcycle, or even get an hour of use from a Digital Ocean Server.

All of your donations truly make a huge difference to me and the millions of people that use my open-source work.

$50 a month

Select

This tier is perfect for developers or small companies that might use one or two of my modules and enjoy how those modules help their workflow or code base. This $50 investment can help me with the costs of maintaining code and some of the basic necessities of life, like food for a week, or use of a Digital Ocean server for a week.

$100 a month

Select

This tier is a great way to show support for maintaining codebases and supporting users. This sort of investment helps allow me to spend more time interacting with the community and focusing on fixing bugs, answering questions, or better documenting a repository's code.

This investment will help me help users across the globe and help me eat for 2 weeks.

$1,000 a month

Select

Investing $1000 will help all of the users and companies that use my modules. This investment will help support some of my daily life and the tools that are needed to maintain and grow my modules and software. This can help me eat for a month and help pay insurance or Digital Ocean Servers or CDNs for my projects.

This is truly an amazing tier to be able to be a part of.

$4,000 a month

Select

Sponsoring me with $4000 not only will help with all of my daily and monthly bills, but it will also help me to begin to pay others to help as well. This is the first tier that really helps grow supporting and inventing new modules and software from a one-man operation to perhaps one and a half.

This tier will ensure that I, my wife, and child have a place to live and are able to feel some financial stability while I focus on devoting much of my time to maintaining my existing international userbase as well as make new and useful modules and software to try and help the world.

$12,000 a month

Select

This is the largest tier I offer, it is primarily designed for companies, projects, or frameworks that use my work as a core piece of their technology. This investment will help me to hire more developers to maintain, update, add features, and rapidly support developers and companies. With this kind of sponsorship, users can expect prompt and focused support.

This will also allow developing new open-source work focused on making the world a better place, not just making coding easier. An investment like this is meant to be an investment in the future of my existing technology and tech that I have yet to build.
