Description:

The propose of this application is to extract data from a GEDCOM file and create a family tree.

What you need to run this code for the first time:

From the Terminal

1. Clone Repo:
   • git clone https://github.com/kylerozanitis/gedcom-parser.git
2. Activate the virtual Enviorment:
   • source venv/bin/activate
3. Install dependencies:
   • pip install -r requirements.txt
4. Run program:
   • python app.py filename(eg. familytree.ged)

What you need to run this code going Forward:

1. Activate the virtual Enviorment:
   • source venv/bin/activate
2. Pull from repo:
   • git pull origin master
3. Run program:
   • python app.py filename(eg. familytree.ged)

If installing a package using pip:

- Run pip freeze >> requirements.txt

If installing a package listed on requirements.txt:

- Run pip install -r requirements.txt
